The Thakaek Travel Lodge is flat out one of the best guesthouses in southeast Asia and features nightly campfires in the front courtyard that create a great atmosphere to relax with a beer and chat with fellow travellers. The main building offers a dorm room for a cheap, comfortable night sleep fan rooms, as well as rooms with private bath, are also available. The longhouse to one side of the main building houses wonderfully spacious rooms, decorated in a mix of French and Lao styles, with huge bathrooms and wide four-poster beds adorned with lacy-white mosquito netting. |
